Why is Juicing for your Health Beneficial?
LONGER LIFE & MORE ENERGY
BRAIN POWER & MEMORY
Making your own juice out of fresh fruits and vegetables is possibly the most optimal way to get the highest amount of nutrients in your diet per day for many people. It’s an easy and more enjoyable way to get your daily dose of vitamins and minerals! Getting in the habit of juicing could help to make you feel better both mentally and physically! Do we even know what we’re missing on a regular day packed with empty carbs, sugars, and salt. Did you know that according to the Agriculture and Health and Human Services we are supposed to be getting at least 9 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. What does that mean 9 servings? Approximately 2 cups of fruit and 2 1/2 cups of veggies each day. Some people are lucky if they swallow down a couple fully cooked green beans per day! I mean it’s actually really hard for people to plan there day around getting the right amount and preparing besides. No doubt it is important and I am totally into gardening and eating as healthy as possible, but it can be really hard to keep fresh foods in the house from going bad in the mean time of managing a diet bountiful with this stuff on hand. Juicing is a way to make a few batches and store for the following two to three days. Another plus to using a juicer is that you are getting fresh raw vitamins and minerals (not cooked). Once fruits or vegetables is cooked over 118° it loses significant nutritional value. It is a big concern to me that my kids get an adequate amount of fruits and veggies! Sneaking in some spinach, kale, beets, and everything else that I can is a sure way to get my kids eating something they otherwise would refuse to eat! Do you know how much better you would feel with kale routinely in your diet? Energy increased, stamina increased, memory, strength, and brain capacity all increased because of juicing! Juicing became really popular as a cleanse to lose weight; however it is not highly recommended to depend solely on juicing for complete nutritional value. Juicing is a way for someone who may not get the recommended dose of fruits and veggies in their diet to get a sufficient amount otherwise. It is also a great addition to an active lifestyle. So many opinions have deliberated on juicing and whether it’s good or bad for you, but the bottom line is that juicing can deliver substantial nutrients to a diet that is otherwise either not getting enough or an alternative to a rather unhealthy pick. Replace a bad choice snack or add it to any mealtime for a boost in nutrition, juicing is a great alternative to traditional fruits and veggies.
