Oil to combat acne? On the contrary oil can clear acne if you are using the right oil! Many people may believe that if you put oil on top of an oily acne problem it’s going to aggravate it all the more! However there are a couple reasons that our skin over produces oil including: part hormones and parched skin. When we scrub and wipe our face with alcohol, peroxide, and other harsh treatments we strip it of it’s natural protective barrier. We naturally have a protective oil that fends off bacteria and other hazards. When we take that away our body goes into oil drive and produces more and more to replace what we take away over and over and then we think we have extra oily skin. I was one of those girls who was willing to try anything to get rid of acne including alcohol toners and benzoyl peroxide treatments. My skin would get better and then come back just as bad or worse. It seemed like everything was a temporary fix. It was oily and combination skin -tight, itchy, and greasy all at the same time. I started reading up on how to be gentle to my skin and found out that Jojoba oil is a super pore cleaner. I decided I was not going to focus on whether I had a pimple anymore and I was going to tend to the overall health of my skin!
What Oil Helps Protect Skin and Prevent Acne?
Golden Jojoba Oil can change skin from inside the pore. Once you understand ‘Jojoba Oil’ and how it helps skin in such intricate ways, you may change your take on what oil actually means for your acne.
God created oil to shield, heal, prevent, and nurture our skin.
About Jojoba Oil:
It’s pressed from the seed of the Jojoba plant technically called the simmondsia chinensis commonly located in the United States and Mexico. The oil is a wax liquid that scientists are suggesting is the closest to human sebum (consistency, protection level, and natural anti-bacterial properties). Human sebum lubricates, protects, and fends off bacteria. In some cases we can produce too much sebum or too little and then skin conditions can arise, due to an imbalance. Jojoba oil in it’s purest form, when applied to various skin conditions has proven to heal, prevent, and fight off bacteria! When used in conjunction with a gentle cleanser morning and night followed after each cleansing with Golden Jojoba Oil, skin can become less irritated, less acne bumps, and more balanced. Many people notice that over about a 2 – 3 week period of consistently using Jojoba oil, they have “less” oily skin, less pimples, and lightened hyper pigmentation.
So because Jojoba is not an actual oil, it is a liquid wax it can actually help to balance oil production, skin becomes soft, refined and smooth. It removes comedones and reduces clogged pores better then almost anything out there!
It helps treat acne by reducing sebum production and by fighting and protecting the skin from harmful bacteria. It contains iodine, which helps with its ability to fight against bacterial and fungal infections.
Jojoba contains a zillion essential nutrients, such as vitamin E, B complex vitamins, and the minerals: silicon, chromium, copper, and zinc – all of which the skin is in love with.
Because of these benefits is the reason that I slather on Jojoba oil day and night! I literally do not have an oily skin problem anymore, no matter what time of year it is! Because it’s not an oil, it absorbs amazingly and makeup goes on beautifully too! Get the Jojoba Oil that I use Here!
How Does it Work:
Jojoba oil has a couple different significant roles in the effort to calm & heal, protect, & fight acne.
- DISSOLVES & BALANCES OIL: Applying moisture enables the skin to believe it is already lubricated and naturally creates less oil, thus helping to manage over production of oil. Because jojoba is an oil, it can penetrate the hair follicle and dissolve build up of our own natural sebum clogged inside of pores. It can help melt away hardened comedones (white heads and black heads), thus reducing acne. Clogged pores is half the cause of acne right? Boom, dissolved!
- ANTIBACTERIAL: Next, what’s the cause of infection? Answer -bacteria settling in those hardened (clogged comedones) causing an inflamed bump aka/pimple! Not only does Jojoba help to dissolve the clogged junk in the pore, Jojoba oil also has antibacterial properties that halt the growth of bacteria from within the hair follicle.
- EXFOLIATION: Part of the reason that bacteria can cause acne is when skin cells do not turnover on time and bam you gotta zit! Jojoba contains vitamin A, which can induce faster cell turnover and help produce more collagen, giving you plump fresh skin all the time!
- ANTI-INFLAMMATORY: It’s calming effect can relieve irritation, redness, reduce pimples, hyper pigmentation, lessen rosacea, and many other skin conditions. It contains vitamins E and B, as well as minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc, which heal damaged skin and prevent farther damage.
